Inside OpsLink

Inventory and cost review in the supervisor summary.

The workflow

Set the scope. Trace differences. Save the review.

01

Choose the period

Inspect final-report coverage for the selected range.

02

Follow the evidence

Compare product movements with BOL receipts and returns.

03

Complete closeout

Review costs, resolve exceptions and save the supervisor review.

1. Confirm reporting scope

Set From and Through and apply the period, or choose Full well. Both boundary dates are included. Final reports contribute; drafts are excluded. Check coverage, including multiple final report times on one day.

2. Balance each product in its unit

Compare opening stock plus receipts, minus returns and usage, plus adjustments with closing stock. Keep product identities and units separate. Edit Used calculates Final; Edit Final calculates Used, so check the active entry mode.

3. Trace BOL differences

Match BOL Receive and BOL Return lines to the report’s movements. A multi-product shipment has several lines. Variance is reported quantity minus BOL quantity; investigate the source difference. Missing or ambiguous evidence remains unresolved.

4. Review recorded charges

In Cost sign-off, review product, service, package and engineering charges, recorded prices and tax. Resolve unpriced items at their source. After correcting and submitting a report, use Refresh review to inspect the rebuilt totals.

5. Save the closeout and export

Review close-out loads fresh full-well evidence. Resolve blocking issues or record an authorized exception reason, then save the numbered revision. Export the intended period or saved version; later changes use the authorized reopening and closeout workflow.

What does Known costs only mean?

Some charges are unpriced or their evidence is incomplete. Review the missing prices and source records before treating the total as complete.
